Oil Blend Colouring FAQs

We love chatting about our products, so get in touch if you have any more questions!

Oil blend colouring pigment is perfect for creating bold and brillant colours in items with butters and fats.

These include buttercreams, chocolate, cocoa butter, fondant, ganache, cake batter, and more.

Before getting started, use the bottle lid to pop a hole in the seal and give the bottle a good shake. These pigments pack a punch so take it slow when colouring, starting with just a few drops and mixing as you go.

Tip: If you have time and for the best results, let your mixture sit overnight.

Using more drops of colouring will increase the intensity of colour and fewer drops will create softer hues. Build the colour slowly as you mix your batter to achieve your desired hue.

We don't recommend using oil blend colouring with royal icing - you'll have much better results if you use aqua blend colouring for royal icing.
